Celebration of Life Dream

"Nobody can do Everything, but everybody can do something."  This is the slogan both the Frontier High Dreamcatcher's Club and the Liberty High Dreamcatcher's Club live by when they execute for their dreams.  Today the clubs partnered up to give Wanda Thompson,  a celebration of life.  She lost her son five months ago, and her husband earlier in March.  It has been tough for her to watch her family go through the trials and tribulations.  So today, every Dreamcatcher club member, regardless if they could or could not be there pitched in and brought food from sandwiches donated by Sequoia Sandwich Company to chips, cookies, cheese, and fruit. We thank every member and give our blessing to our extraordinarily sweet and loving patient, Wanda Thompson.  We loved being with you today!

The Legend of Mick Barnes

Mick Barnes, a man of poetry, love, family, and service; gave Dreamcatchers a special gift.  He taught us that it is every moment that we embrace, every day that we cherish, and every person we meet is put in our life for a significant reason.  Writing this post today makes me sad that this world lost a man as great as Mick.  I truly can say that I will never forgot the days Isabella, Anthony, and I sat on his floor listening to him read his poetry with his strong, deep voice, despite the fact that he was on supplement oxygen.

This is the University of Notre-Dame commercial link that we did with Mick.

Aloha Dream

A special thank you to Christ the King Church for letting us use Room D and to Clare Barksdale and Monsignor Frost! Thank you to Jerry Caneta for the entertainment and the hula dancers!  Thank you to Dress Barn for the discount on the dress for our patient!

Our patient wanted to go to Hawaii, so we thought, "Why not bring Hawaii to her?"  She also wanted a new church dress, because her medicine did not allow her to use her old church dresses.  Dress Barn gave the club a discount on a marvelous dress that she loved!

The day was filled with fun, love, and family.  Thank you again to all of those who made this dream possible!!
